The US movie trailer of the next to last episode of Sax Rohmer's hero adventures in the 60s. Christopher Lee still dignifies the role in spite of the poorer production values of this title. But there's even worse to come: "The Castle of Fu Manchu"(1969) (mostly edited out of earlier films footage) which will strike the last nail on the coffin of the poor asian mad scientist.
Next appearance of Fu Manchu on the screen: Peter Sellers' very last film which is not a so good spoof, by the way: "The Fiendish Plot of Dr. Fu Manchu" (1980). Has he not shoot this one, the weak-hearted comedian might have survived a bit longer. Sad, isn't it?
There's not much chance Fu Manchu will ever appear on screen again. He is SO politically incorrect on nowadays standards, isn't he?
Notice that the U.S. release didn't even bother to bank on Fu Manchu's name. It simply looks like an ordinary horror-adventure film.
